That is the Supercharged 6.2L High-Output HEMI SRT Hellcat Redeye V8. This is the top of the line engine from Dodge. With this, you’ll be able to compete with any other vehicle on the road. Even some million-dollar supercars. With this engine, you’ll tap your horsepower up to 797 and deliver 707 lb-ft of torque. You won’t find this kind of performance in any other vehicle with a similar price.
There’s something about taking full control of your Challenger. And the best way to do this is with a manual transmission. The feeling of shifting gears is something you just don’t get with an automatic. There’s something truly satisfying when you sit behind the wheel of a manual transmission. The R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat trim packages all come standard with a TREMEC six-speed manual transmission.
If you’re more of an automatic driver, all V6 models come standard with the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. An automatic transmission will improve fuel efficiency and performance of the vehicle. Plus, there is a wheel-mounted paddle shifter for when you want to shift through one of the Drive Mode options. The Challenger can also come with an electronic shifter. It doesn’t have the same kind of throws as the manual transmission, where you really feel every shift. This will reduce the strain on your hand if you are in the car a great deal. This performance electronic shifter also offers visual and physical feedback on the gear selections. The 2020 Dodge Challenger marks the car’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate, Dodge has released a special, limited edition 50th Anniversary Edition package. This package is available on the GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and the R/T Scat Pack Widebody trims. This package offers a number of unique color options, but the colors are limited. Dodge will only be making 70 units per color on each trim. It also comes with a satin black hood with a wrapped roof and decklid. The 20-inch wheels use a unique design, plus it has 50th Anniversary illuminated air-catcher headlamps, a rear carbon-fiber instrument panel, heated ventilated black Nappa leather on the interior, plus 50th Anniversary Badging throughout the car. If you are a car collector or want something a little different, this Challenger will be the one for you.
