Jeep Wrangler

When comparing these vehicles, it’s easy to see one of the main differences right away. These are two different vehicles; the Jeep Wrangler is an off-road SUV, and the Jeep Gladiator is a pickup truck. Even with such different exteriors, they have a lot of common features.

The Gladiator and the Wrangler both offer removable doors and a removable roof, allowing you to become one with nature and really feel the breeze during your ride. The Gladiator also adds a fold-down windshield, which is perfect for drivers unafraid of meeting the elements head on.

Let in the Breeze

The Wrangler offers six different roof options, including a power top, three soft tops, and two hardtops. The Gladiator has four different roofing options, including two hardtops.

    PERFORMANCE
    Jeep Wrangler

The performance of your Jeep vehicle comes from under the hood. The engine you choose for your vehicle can go a long way in conquering the road and the trails. With impressive capabilities from either Jeep, which model will be the perfect match for your next adventure?

    Packed With Power

The Jeep Wrangler provides four different engine options to choose from. They are:

    • 2.0L Turbo engine that gets 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque
    • 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that gets 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque
    • 2.0L PHEV engine that gets 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque
    • 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine that gets 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque

The Gladiator offers a single engine: the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

    Poised Prowess

With all that power under the hood, the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Gladiator can handle much more than a muddy trail. Both models are built to tow equipment to your adventure. How much so? Let’s explore their maximum towing capacities below:

    • Wrangler Towing Capacity: 5,000 pounds
    • Gladiator Towing Capacity: 7,700 pounds

If you’ve got a couple jet skis, snowmobiles, or a lightweight travel trailer at home, the Wrangler will be better suited for these toys. However, if you have a water ski boat or a lightweight towable camper, the Gladiator has you covered.

    Jeep Wrangler

When it comes to the SUV you choose, you want to make sure there’s plenty of space for everyone and everything. Inside both the Jeep Gladiator and the Jeep Wrangler, you'll find a spacious interior that’s comfortable for anything and anyone.

    Room for Your Adventure Companions

Adventure draws a crowd. Good thing the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Gladiator each seat up to five riders! Plus, both models have very similar passenger volumes. They both offer 104 cubic feet to ensure everyone on board is comfortable. Pair this amount of wiggle room with the open-air freedom in both models, and everyone will be able to kick back and relax.

    Tools, Gear, Coolers, Oh My!

An area where these two vehicles differ is in their cargo space. The Gladiator offers additional space in the pickup cargo bed, while the Wrangler, as an SUV, holds cargo in a more traditional way.

Overall, the Gladiator offers 35.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the bed. The 4-door Wrangler offers 31.7 cubic feet of cargo volume with all seats upright. This can be maximized to 72.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
