Certified Pre-Owned Jeep Dealership

Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) models may be the newcomer in the grand scheme of things, but they are undoubtedly some of the easiest to recommend when talking to a customer interested in a used vehicle. There are many benefits to purchasing a CPO vehicle, whether it's compared to a brand new model or another used vehicle. If you're looking for a Certified Pre-Owned Jeep dealership, then stop right where you are because Orange Coast is your home for all things CPO. Why would you want a CPO Jeep vehicle? The main reason is because of investment.

Any vehicle is an investment, and you need your vehicle to perform as intended for the duration of your ownership. Ultimately, there are a few reasons why you should consider purchasing a CPO Jeep vehicle. For starters, every CPO vehicle goes through a rigorous inspection process, one not performed on your average pre-owned vehicle. Add included warranties to the mix, and you'll start to get an understanding of the benefits associated with the program.

Jeep CPO Program

The Jeep CPO program can be broken down into a few categories. First and foremost, the vehicles have to meet some prerequisites before Jeep declares them CPO-worthy. First, its age is taken into consideration–if the Jeep vehicle in question was built more than five years ago, it won't make the cut. Compared to other CPO programs by big-name manufacturers, Jeep's is far more generous, with companies such as Nissan offering CPO vehicles manufactured as long as six years ago. This is important because a younger vehicle is far more likely to give you a modern experience when it comes to integrated tech features and performance. Additionally, a CPO Jeep vehicle can't have over 75,000 miles on it, which is another benefit to the driver, as this guarantees your powertrain will still have a fair amount of life in it.

Once the Jeep has gotten past this point, it has to have a clean CARFAX vehicle history report and pass a 125-point inspection for qualification. This inspection will not only go over the fundamentals of the vehicle, but will also address any discrepancies found inside and out. Part of this inspection is a test drive where one of our certified Jeep technicians will ensure everything works properly from a performance point of view. Our team will look at all facets of the powertrain, ensuring the vehicle is braking and steering properly, and so on.

After checking if the powertrain is working as intended, the inspection then moves to the exterior and interior. The mechanics performing the inspection will check for natural corrosion and other damages, and the interior will be checked for all manner of problems. For example, the seats will be checked for cracks, tears, and stains, along with their functionality, such as power-adjustable settings and heating elements, if applicable. Climate controls, safety, and the suite of tech features are all accounted for, and everything must be in working order to pass the inspection.

Once the inspection is complete, the vehicle can be listed for sale as CPO. However, that's not where the program ends–the next big advantage is the included factory Jeep warranties. All Jeep CPO vehicles come with two warranties, and these can overlap with each other depending on how old the vehicle is. First, you should take into consideration that new Jeep vehicles come with a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty along with a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Let's say the CPO Jeep you're purchasing was released around two years ago; that would mean there's still a year left in the new vehicle bumper-to-bumper warranty. As the owner of the fresh CPO vehicle, you'll inherit this warranty. When it finally expires, a CPO 3-month/3,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty will take its place. If the CPO Jeep you purchase has already outlived its original new vehicle warranty, it'll start with this 3-month/3,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty right out of the gate. A bumper-to-bumper warranty will cover virtually all aspects of your vehicle. For example, if your air conditioner begins blowing hot air or your speaker system begins to make popping sounds, this warranty should have you covered. So long as the problem is not caused by human error, the warranty should cover it.

The next warranty is a 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty that begins from when the vehicle was originally sold. No matter which CPO Jeep vehicle you purchase, it'll give you at least two years of powertrain coverage as long as your odometer stays below 100,000 miles. Depending on the CPO Jeep you purchase, you may have far more than two years of coverage. Powertrain warranties will keep you covered against any unforeseen malfunctions relating to your engine, transmission, 4x4 system, and any other powertrain-related element.

The Jeep Brand

Being a Jeep driver means being part of an exclusive club, and there are very few manufacturers whose customers consider it more of a lifestyle than a brand. Often held in the highest regard for their off-roading potential, Jeep vehicles have been mastering the trails for decades. Vehicles such as the Jeep Wrangler are among the most popular–not only for their performance and ruggedness but also because of their relation to the historic Willys Jeep, most famously known as the American military's vehicle choice in World War II.

Drivers looking for something a bit more grandiose can invest in vehicles such as the Grand Cherokee or its smaller counterpart, the Cherokee. The versatility of an SUV coupled with ample performance for both towing and raw horsepower output is what makes these vehicles special. Of course, if you want the benefits of a Jeep, coupled with the capability of a pickup truck, the Gladiator has you covered. Overall, there's a Jeep model for everybody. This is especially the case if off-roading is one of your hobbies and you are looking for the perfect vehicle to hit the trails.
