About
Jeep rocked the truck driving world in 2020 when it brought back the Gladiator pickup truck. That’s right––brought back. Some folks may think that the idea of a rugged, off-road Jeep with a pickup truck bed is new, but Jeep offered the original Gladiator from 1962 until 1988. While you will have a tough time finding one of those Jeep Gladiator trucks from the 1960s today, you won’t have too much trouble finding a new Jeep Gladiator for Sale at Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. We are the leading dealer for these amazing vehicles that seem to be perfectly suited for folks who call this part of Southern California home.
The Jeep Gladiator gives drivers the ability to carry large loads while also having the ruggedness for off-roading and the dependability for daily use as either a work truck or family vehicle. At Orange Coast CJDRF, we have a vast inventory of new and used Jeep Gladiators for sale. As an authorized Jeep dealer, we can even work with you to custom-order your Gladiator, helping you choose from the various trim levels, engines, and features offered by Jeep. This way, you know you are getting the Jeep Gladiator you want with all of the options that you personally desire.
When Jeep introduced the Gladiator in 2020, it offered a single engine option with a choice of transmissions. This powertrain is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 capable of 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. Like the Wrangler, four-wheel drive is standard. The initial Gladiator also offered drivers a choice of six trim levels: the Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, and North Edition.
In 2021, Jeep added an engine option: a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 with 442 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The number of trims also grew to nine, with the addition of the Willys Sport, Willys, and High Altitude. This gives you even more opportunity to choose a Jeep Gladiator with the features, design, and performance that you want in a truck. The 2022 model includes a Uconnect 4 system with a standard seven-inch touchscreen, which can be upgraded to Uconnect 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and a built-in navigation system on some of the higher trim levels.
With standard four-wheel drive and solid axles, the Gladiator is designed for off-roading. Every Jeep Gladiator, from the Sport to the Rubicon, is Trail Rated, meaning that it has undergone a series of rigorous tests that make it ideal for off-roading. However, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave is Desert Rated, making it ideal for driving the dunes. These features make any Gladiator the perfect truck for folks who love to push the limits of their vehicles on the many trails and parks just outside of Costa Mesa.
Orange Coast CJDRF is an authorized Jeep dealership, meaning that we can get any new Jeep Gladiator for sale to you, including all of the trim levels, engine and transmission options, and even your favorite color. When you work with us, our sales team can help you find the Gladiator you want, answering all your questions and showing you the unique features of each version of this powerful, rugged truck.
Each year, Jeep makes a number of incremental improvements to the Jeep Gladiator, maybe offering a new set of shocks or wheels on a specific trim level in order to improve its off-road performance or making adjustments to the hardtop, grille, or fender flares to improve the looks of this truck. As a result, you may want to take a look at all of your options before deciding on the one that’s right for you.
For example, models like the Mojave and Rubicon are built for experienced drivers looking to tackle the most challenging trails. However, if you are new to off-roading, you might want to start with a trim like the Sport or Willys Sport, which will give you exceptional performance at a more affordable price. If you are looking to use your Gladiator for towing and hauling, our sales team will be able to go over the capabilities of each version so that you will be able to get the most out of your truck in this regard.
One of the best ways to buy a Jeep Gladiator is used. First of all, you can find a used Gladiator for sale at a price that is less than a new one. This will put more money in your pocket or allow you to buy a higher trim level than on a new truck. Second, the Gladiator is built as tough as any other Jeep, making it a great long-term investment. This truck is built to last, able to stand up to the rigors of the trail. Finally, buying a used Jeep Gladiator is a great way for someone new to trucking and off-roading to get started with an affordable truck that can do both. This is why we often advise our customers to look at the used Jeep Gladiator trucks we have available.
At Orange Coast CJDRF, we have a vast inventory of used Jeep models, including the Gladiator. These include examples back to the 2020 model year and range from the Sport and Sport S trims all the way up to the Rubicon, Mojave, and High Altitude, with all of their extra features for passenger comfort and extreme off-roading performance. By buying a used Gladiator from us, you may be able to better afford a High Altitude with its leather seats or a Rubicon with its locking front and rear differentials. While these models may be outside of your budget when buying new, looking for a used Gladiator at our dealership will be able to make owning one a reality for you.
Living and working in Costa Mesa gives us access to some of the best and most challenging places to go off-roading. The area between Los Angeles and San Diego is not only home to some of the most beautiful coastline in the world, but it is also a region with incredible topographical changes, with deserts, mountains, forests, and beaches all within driving distance. This is why so many of our staff here at Orange Coast CJDRF have chosen to drive a Jeep Gladiator themselves, giving them a chance to test the capabilities of these trucks. This expertise is not something they got out of a book but was acquired the best way possible: from their personal experience. These members of our sales staff will be happy to use their expert knowledge to help you choose the new or used Gladiator that is best for your purposes while sharing with you their own experiences with this truck.
If you want to know about towing and hauling, our expert team members will go beyond just letting you know that the Gladiator can carry up to 1,700 lbs of payload and tow up to 7,650 lbs. They will let you know about the truck’s handling and acceleration with a trailer in tow. If you are looking at a new or used Gladiator with the available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, they will be able to tell you how they feel it compares to the gas engine in terms of fuel economy, handling, and acceleration. It is this experience that sets our team members apart from the salespeople at other dealerships.
