New Jeeps for Sale

Jeep offers several great SUV models alongside the Gladiator truck, but choosing between them all can get a bit overwhelming. That’s why you should visit us at Orange Coast Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat to view our wide selection of new Jeeps for sale. We’ve got all the Jeep brand knowledge you need to help you pick out the perfect model for you. Whether you’re most interested in casual commuting, off-roading, or a mix of both, we’ve got you covered.

You already know that Jeep models are mostly known for their off-roading capabilities. However, you can love Jeep’s design without the constant need for all-terrain mastery. Jeep’s commuter models strike a nice balance by including all-weather capabilities but better fuel efficiency. Conversely, Jeeps off-roading prowlers carry multiple levels of everything you need to head off the pavement. We’re excited to show you how to pick the perfect Jeep for you.

Tips for Picking the Perfect Jeep

Let’s start off with the drivetrain you’ll want for average commuting. Truthfully, any Jeep pursuer has at least somewhat of a desire for all-terrain driving. If for nothing else, drivers want a Jeep to help them stay safe during slippery weather. That’s where models like the Renegade and the Compass come in. These are the most fuel-efficient Jeep models, and they come with front-wheel drive options in situations where adding in four-wheel drive is unnecessary.

That said, both the Renegade and the Compass are still Trail Rated models. This means that they can efficiently push through up to 19 inches of standing water, they come with ground clearance and skid plates, meaning they can cross logs and rocks, and they’re easily maneuverable, which is one of Jeep’s biggest perks. There are also Selec-Terrain modes on both models, meaning you can switch between snow, sand, mud, rock, and automatic drive modes. When you need an everyday commuter, but you like the idea of off-road and all-weather capabilities, the Renegade and the Compass are both great models.

Now, let’s look at some even higher Jeep Trail Rated models for sale. Of course, the Jeep Wrangler is your top choice for off-roading adventures. The Wrangler’s Trail Rated badge carries even more possibilities than other Trail Rated Jeep models do. It can tackle up to 30 inches of water, it has a ground clearance score of up to 10.8-inches, and it has a 44-inch approach angle meaning you can climb over obstacles that most SUVs wouldn’t dare attempt. In order to achieve this Trail Rated badge, Wranglers are tested on the roughest and steepest terrains, so it’s not all words here. These are hard-tested facts.

The Rubicon model specifically is ideal for rock-climbing off-roaders, as it has the unique Rock-Trac 4X4 system, which is designed to prevent slipping thanks to its torque increase and low, slow gear. But every other Wrangler model is perfect for all other off-roading situations, and all Wranglers do still perform well on rocky trails. The Rubicon is just the best choice for those who prefer rocky roadways.

Desert Rated Jeep models are tested in a similar manner, but they’re focused on desert terrain rather than in typical mud and gravel off-roading conditions. They’re made to handle sandy conditions. These Jeeps include a higher ground clearance and heat-resistant shocks, and a max-tow cooling system to help the vehicle tackle those hot desert days. The steering is tailored to sandy conditions, and traction and maneuverability are top-notch. Desert drivers will definitely want a Desert Rated badge for sandy trails and west coast off-roading.

A Quick Look at 2021 Models

The 2021 Jeep Renegade is the smallest and most affordable of all 2021 Jeep models. These models are great for running around town thanks to their fuel efficiency, but they can also tackle backroads with ease. Next up is the 2021 Jeep Compass, which is also fuel-efficient but offers more space than the Renegade. It’s a good option for small families, whereas the Renegade is a great compact option.

The 2021 Cherokee is just a smaller version of the Grand Cherokee, and its biggest perk is its towing capabilities. Just like all other 2021 Jeeps, it has the Trail Rated badge, so it’s also off-road capable. It comes with three different engine options, but the best one for towing is the V6 Pentastar engine, which maxes out the Cherokee’s towing capacity at 4,500 pounds. The 2021 Grand Cherokee is larger and, of course, ups the ante on towing, with a max towing capacity of 7,200 pounds, making it the strongest in its vehicle class. The Grand Cherokee L adds a third seat row into the mix, making it the ideal family travel model.

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is available in 13 different trim levels. You can get the Wrangler 4xe hybrid model in the Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude trims. All Wrangler trims are off-road capable, even the 4xe. So, it really just depends on which style you like best and how many tech features you prefer. Wranglers are traditional in the sense that you can still get them without additional driver assist features and electronics if that’s what you prefer.

Finally, we’ve got the Gladiator, which is essentially a Jeep Wrangler truck. The trick here is that this model is very tow-capable, with a max towing capacity of 7,650 pounds. Not only can you take this model off-roading, but you can get work done with it as well. Overall, Jeep’s 2021 lineup offers a little bit of something for every SUV (and truck) driver type.
