Adventure is calling, and you’re ready to answer, so you’re looking for the best off-road vehicles for sale. Luckily, that search brought you to a team of passionate adventurers right here at Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. We know what it means to answer the call of the wild, especially when it's time to venture off the pavement and get a little (or a lot) of mud on the tires.
Our passion for adventure distinguishes the Orange Coast CJDRF team from every other dealership in the area. Why? Because you can find many of us on the trail, leading a caravan of off-road rigs for a weekend in the woods with friends. We’re well-versed in modifications and accessories because we’ve put in long hours and a lot of hard work to understand the demands of off-roading from our own experiences. That’s a level of expertise you won’t find anywhere else.
What else makes Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat different? Our vast selection of new and used models. We’re biased toward the Jeep and Ram lineups, but we know that off-roaders appreciate a variety, so we’re here to deliver. You’ll find a great selection of off-road vehicles right here, whether you’re looking for an all-new Jeep Wrangler, a used Toyota Tacoma, or a powerful Ram truck like the 1500 TRX. We’ve got something for every adventurer on our lot and the expertise that goes with it.
Jeep was born of necessity in the late 1930s and early 1940s when the American military requested a light reconnaissance vehicle to aid in World War II. Three companies––Bantam, Willys, and Ford––answered the call and helped design a four-wheel drive model known unofficially as America’s first “Jeep.” The Jeep played a pivotal role in World War II and garnered a following among soldiers who wanted something comparable in their civilian lives. Jeep responded several years later with the first civilian Jeep or “CJ” that paved the way for legends like the Wrangler, Gladiator, and Grand Cherokee.
The Wrangler is the most iconic adventurer on the trail, renowned for its small platform and agile handling that makes it ideal on rough terrain. The Gladiator takes this agility to a new level, swapping the Wrangler’s enclosed cargo area for an open bed to transform the SUV into a four-door workhorse ready for every on and off-road demand. The Grand Cherokee takes a different approach entirely, blending luxury with capability as if to prove you don’t have to “rough it” even when you’re roughing it.
Of course, none of these exceptional warriors would be the same without Jeep’s revolutionary four-wheel drive systems. Most importantly, Jeep proves that not all four-wheel drive models are created equal. The automaker often gives drivers a choice between advanced part-time and full-time four-wheel drive systems. You'll also find complementary options like rear electronic limited-slip differentials, rock rails, and heavy-duty axles that improve performance and maneuverability on any terrain.
Ram gives adventurers plenty of options to get behind the wheel of a workhorse that can handle itself when the pavement ends. The most notable of these models is the Ram TRX, which made history as the fastest and most powerful mass-produced truck in the world when it debuted in 2021. The TRX has its supercharged engine to thank for the title, while exclusive off-road components allow it to handle the most extreme conditions without ever missing a beat.
While the TRX is on the higher end of the price spectrum, Ram doesn’t discount the budget-savvy shopper that isn’t looking for jaw-dropping horsepower at every turn. The Ram 1500 is an exceptional find and a great value because it’s a powerhouse that can navigate your workweek and transform into an off-road warrior when the weekend begins. Trims like the BackCountry are incredibly enticing since Ram adds off-road-specific components like calibrated shocks, an air suspension, all-terrain tires, and an electronic rear differential to enhance the truck’s off-road performance.
Ram also acknowledges that off-roaders haul a lot of gear when they set off for the trail. Trucks like the Ram 1500 make towing equipment easier with exclusive features like the RamBox storage system and advanced trailering technology that eliminates the guesswork of hauling heavy loads. Because of these tools and features, models like the Ram 1500 make it near-effortless to pack up and get on the road, giving you more time to make memories on the trail.
Your vehicle is prone to scratches and potential accidents anytime it leaves your garage; however, this risk dramatically increases when facing obstacles on the trail. Tight terrain requires you to navigate between bushes and trees that can leave pinstripes down the side of your rig. Obstacles like downed trees threaten your bumper and undercarriage, while water crossings can be hazardous to electrical components. Because of this, many off-roaders choose to shop for a used vehicle to answer the call of the wild.
As avid adventurers and off-roaders, we’ve tailored our inventory to meet various off-roading needs. As a result, you’ll find used Jeep Wranglers and Ram 1500 trucks alongside other best-selling models like the Toyota Tacoma, Ford F-150 Raptor, and Toyota 4Runner. Toyota is highly regarded for building some of the most reliable and rugged trail runners, with the Tacoma affectionately known as the “Taco” among its loyal following. These models have been around for decades, making it easy to find a used model at an exceptional price and to find accessories to upfit or modify the rig to your needs.
Beyond best-sellers like the 4Runner and Tacoma, you’ll also find popular options like the Chevrolet Silverado and the F-150. These four-wheel drive trucks are renowned for their versatility and, like the Toyotas, are staples in their lineups. They’re also easy to customize, whether you want to add all-weather floor mats, a suspension lift, mud tires, or a bed cover to protect your gear. Look for a Custom Trail Boss or LT Trail Boss trim for the Silverado or an F-150 equipped with the FX4 or Tremor package.
