Ram trucks began as a division of Dodge back in 1981 when the first Dodge Ram 1500 debuted. Dodge was making pickup trucks long before the Ram, though, from the "Job-Rated" trucks of the 1930s to the 1946 Power Wagon, 1961 Sweptline, 1973 Club Cab, and more. Finally, the Dodge Ram debuted, running from 1981 to 2010 before Ram broke off into its own brand, leaving Dodge to focus on cars and SUVs. On top of its iconic pickups, Ram also offers work-ready vans like the ProMaster and ProMaster City––but Ram is primarily a truck-centered brand. Since the Ram brand can focus solely on truck production and perfection, Ram trucks are better than ever, becoming a top-selling brand across the United States.
If you're looking for a truck that can easily take you to and from Tanaka Farms, offering plenty of bed space for fruit picking and daily market finds, the Ram 1500 is a great option. You can purchase this truck in several trim levels, allowing you to customize it for your needs and work around your budget. However, if you're the one who's actively working in agriculture, a heavy-duty Ram truck is necessary. The Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 come with multiple cab and bed styles to suit your needs. You may even want something as substantial as the Ram Chassis Cab if you plan to upfit your truck, which is common in agricultural settings.
Are you planning to be the next great delivery service? Whether you're selling farm-fresh items, baked goods, or floral arrangements, the Ram ProMaster City is at your service. This Ram model is designed to get the job done with businesses in mind. When you order one of these vans, you can add your custom decals and upfits, making it a perfect fit for your business. It'll be ready to hit the road by the time it makes it to our lot and into your possession. The larger ProMaster is more cargo and crew-oriented, offering more interior space and towing capacity.
There are several impressive Ram models in the 2022 lineup. First off, the 2022 Ram TRX is available to those who like to head out to San Bernardino National Forest for some off-roading fun. This truck comes with the Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shocks, which aren't available on any other stock truck. Its standard supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 can produce 702 hp.
The regular 2022 Ram 1500 includes four different engine options, the most powerful of which is capable of towing up to 12,750 lbs. This truck really steps up the game when it comes to technology, especially towing tech, offering Trailer Reverse Steering Control for easy reversing. It also offers a Trailer 360-Degree Surround View Camera for a bird's eye view around your truck and trailer.
Now for the most powerful 2022 Ram option, the Ram 3500. When you choose the available Cummins High-Output turbo-diesel engine, you can enjoy 1,075 lb-ft of torque and tow as much as 37,090 lbs––both best-in-class figures. Since this model is purpose-built for serious work, it includes even more towing technologies and work-ready add-ons.
The Ram ProMaster City and ProMaster vans are cargo-ready options ideal for businesses. The ProMaster City is the smaller option but still includes a 131.7 cu.ft. of cargo volume. For even more space, the regular ProMaster includes two different roof heights and four different cargo lengths, hauling up to 4,680 lbs inside. It can also tow 6,910 lbs if you need a trailer.
Not sure if you want to buy a brand-new Ram truck? Before you completely write off buying a used vehicle, keep in mind that our used Ram models include free CARFAX reports, so you don't have to worry about damage or unclear history. Additionally, a used Ram model can be just as good or even better than new, depending on your needs. We have a wide variety of used Ram truck sizes and trim levels suited for different purposes and environments.
Some of our favorite used Ram trim levels include the Power Wagon, the Rebel, and the Laramie. The Power Wagon's roots go back to 1946, and it was the very first 4x4 medium-duty truck for the civilian market. It returned to the Ram lineup as a trim level of the Ram 2500 in 2005. Thanks to its HEMI V8 engine, front and rear locking differentials, and WARN winch, the Ram Power Wagon is great for both off-roading and hard work.
A used Ram 1500 Rebel is an excellent trim option for off-road enthusiasts who don't want to dent and dirty up a brand-new truck. Recent models offer upgraded off-roading shocks, a one-inch lift, and other off-pavement necessities such as Hill Descent Control and underbody skid plates. Unlike the newer TRX, you can get a used Ram Rebel at an affordable price while still gaining several handy off-roading essentials.
Finally, the Ram 1500 Laramie is the perfect used Ram option for folks who want a budget-friendly yet well-rounded Ram ownership experience. This trim offers a more user-friendly interior than competing truck models, along with a smooth everyday riding experience thanks to its segment-first coil springs and available four-corner air suspension. This mid-level trim offers a bit of everything, making it perfect for the average pickup truck driver.
