Ram Trucks For Sale – Costa Mesa, CA

If you need a reliable, powerhouse of a truck, chances are good you’ve been searching for Ram trucks for sale. Since the first Dodge Ram truck was introduced in 1981, through Ram’s first independent production model in 2009, the Ram lineup of trucks has been known for power, innovation, and reliability.

Today’s drivers not only turn to Ram trucks for work, however. Over the years, Ram has developed the 1500, 1500 Classic, 2500, and mighty 3500 to be more than a reliable coworker. Yes, they can tow, stow, and drag with the best of them, but there’s something special about a Ram. It might be the roomy, comfortable cabin that makes it a pleasure to go to work each day. It may be the peace of mind from driving the US New Best Truck Brand of 2020, a Consumer’s Guide Best Buy for twelve years running, and a 2019 IIHS Top Safety Pick. Or it might be the innovative technology that makes Ram drivers some of the most loyal customers in the truck segment. Regardless of why, more people than ever are searching for Ram trucks for sale.

Two Ram trucks for sale, a red 2020 Ram 2500 and a blue, are parked in grass with a foggy ocean bay near Costa Mesa, CA, in the distance.

2022 Ram 1500

The 2022 Ram 1500 continues the lineage of this beloved pickup truck. The Ram 1500 has two available bed sizes and two cabs. The two available bed sizes measure 5'7" and 6'4", and the two cab variations are the Quad Cab and Crew Cab. Should you opt for the Quad Cab, the 6'4" bed is the only option. However, the Crew Cab can be fitted with the 6'4" bed and 5'7" bed. The Quad Cab tightens up interior space, albeit not by much. The Crew Cab has more interior space for maximizing comfort and is the ideal choice for drivers with families.

When investing in a 2022 Ram 1500, There are six trim levels to choose from. The base model is the Tradesman and is succeeded by the Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. The Laramie is where the more luxurious features are added, including heated and ventilated leather seats, and best of all, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat for maximum comfort. The Big Horn upwards includes a 7-inch digital cluster display along with a 9-speaker audio system for crystal clear audio, thanks to its nine speakers. The multimedia experience is also far better with this trim level because of the Uconnect 5 infotainment center. Uconnect 5 allows for a variety of exclusive functions, such as connecting more than one phone at a time, and it's all displayed on either an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen.

The 2022 Ram 1500 offers up to four powertrains to select from, and all of them come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powertrains include a standard gas V6, a diesel V6, and two variations of a 5.7L HEMI V8. The base configuration utilizes the gasoline-powered 3.6L V6, and it'll have 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. EPA-estimated ratings on this engine are the second-best of the four, with ratings of 20 MPG city and 26 MPG highway. However, towing capacity is the lowest of the four, sitting at a maximum capacity of 7,730 lbs.

The V8 engines give the Ram 1500 its best towing potential. The 5.7L V8 engine is available with or without eTorque. Both produce 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, but the eTorque version can tow a maximum of 12,750 lbs against 11,610 lbs without eTorque. Drivers who want the best of both worlds–fuel efficiency and towing performance, should opt for the 3.0L Ecodiesel V6. Combining 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, the diesel V6 engine can tow a maximum of 12,560 lbs and treats drivers to EPA-estimated ratings of 23 MPG city and 33 MPG highway.

2022 Ram 1500 TRX

The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX is the Ram 1500 of choice for drivers looking for an off-road-focused pickup truck. Sporting a far more visually-appealing exterior combining an exclusive black grill with a distinctly designed hood, it's unlike its siblings. The fins on top of the hood emit illuminance from built-in LED lights. The interior is equally as stunning with a stark contrast of black with red trim, and the inclusion of a vertical 12-inch touchscreen and a flat-bottom steering wheel make this Ram 1500 truly unique inside and out.

As a truck that can both tow and perform aptly in off-roading tasks, the Ram 1500 TRX is perhaps the most versatile of the bunch. Firstly, Bilstein Shocks are built-in, which is crucial for a pure off-roading experience. These shocks are finely tuned to handle both the elevation and ruggedness of the trail thanks to 13-inches of front suspension travel and 14-inches of rear suspension travel, coupled with 11.8-inches of ground clearance. Nearly a foot of ground clearance ensures the bottom of your vehicle can avoid damage. Additionally, the Ram 1500 TRX includes 35-inch all-terrain tires, which are massive and durable.

The real star of the show, however, is the supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 powering it all. This engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission like the regular Ram 1500, but the result is 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. This increase is nearly 78% more horsepower than the 1500's V8 engine and 58% more torque. Going from 0-60 mph with the supercharged V8 engine will only take 4.5 seconds.

2022 Ram 2500

Seated between the entry-level Ram 1500 and the mighty Ram 3500, the Ram 2500 takes the foundation of the entry-level model and amplifies it by a large margin. Like the Ram 1500, it's available in one of six trims. The Tradesman, Big Horn, and Laramie are accompanied by the Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. The Power Wagon is the only trim level the Ram 1500 doesn't offer. For the Ram 2500, versatility is greatly enhanced by the choice between a 6'4" or 8' bed. There are also three cabs to select from: the Crew Cab, the Regular Cab, or the Mega Cab for the most interior space. The Ram 2500 includes a Tow Mode should you invest in the Enhanced Digital Rearview Mirror. By utilizing the rear-view camera on your truck and trailer, your mirror will show you a high-definition view behind your trailer in real-time.

Two powertrains are available for the 2022 Ram 2500, and it all starts with a 6.4L HEMI V8. This engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and creates 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. With the V8, the Ram 2500 can tow 17,540 lbs. However, the Ram 2500 can tow a maximum of 20,000 lbs if you opt for the 6.7L turbo-diesel I-6, which is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and creates 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. For drivers who want a stronger vehicle than the Ram 1500, but that is not as pricey as the Ram 3500, the Ram 2500 is a perfect choice.

2022 Ram 3500

The most powerful of the bunch, the 2022 Ram 3500 has the towing prowess for any job. There are five trim levels for the Ram 3500, starting with the Tradesman. Moving up the list, you'll find the Big Horn, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Like the Ram 2500, the Ram 3500 is available in either a 6'4" or 8' bed, and you'll have the choice between a Crew Cab, a Regular Cab, and a Mega Cab. Towing is made easier with this truck, not only because of brute strength but because of towing tech.

Ram 3500 owners will have the choice of implementing a Rear Air Suspension, giving drivers the ability to lower the rear side of their pickup truck when aligning a trailer. A Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor displayed on the 7-inch digital cluster is present, and the Ram 3500 offers an available Trailer 360° Surround View Camera, giving the driver a variety of camera angles to select from to get a better understanding of their truck and trailer's surroundings. By combining the camera feeds, the Ram 3500 will show you a bird's eye view of your truck, which is another helpful way to align your towing.

What separates the Ram 3500 from the others is the three available powertrains. The 6.4L HEMI V8 from the Ram 2500 makes another appearance. With the V8 and its accompanying 8-speed automatic transmission, the Ram 3500 creates 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 18,210 lbs. Capping it all off is the turbo-diesel 6.7L I-6, which can also be purchased in a "High-Output" variation. Should you opt for the regular turbo-diesel I-6 with its 6-speed automatic transmission, your truck will create 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. This massive torque output helps the Ram 3500 tow up to 22,670 lbs. Opting for the High-Output 6.7L turbo-diesel I-6, you'll get 420 hp and a whopping 1,075 lb-ft of torque. Whether you're purchasing a Ram 3500 for personal use or to enhance your work, the maximum towing capacity of 37,090 lbs will do it all.

2020 Ram Trucks

The selection of new Ram trucks includes the 2020 Ram 1500, 1500 Classic, the 2500 HD, and the 3500 HD.

1500

There are seven trims of the 2020 Ram 1500, each with their own distinct styling and unique features. If you’ve been a Ram fan for a while, most of these trims will sound familiar, although they’ve each been given minor updates. Various interior and exterior choices transform each standard Ram 1500 into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

There’s no shortage of customization options for your next Ram truck. Many come with your choice of a crew cab with a short bed that is 5-ft 7-inches or a quad cab with a long bed that’s 6-ft 4-inches. In addition to the multiple trim levels, you’ll also find exciting packages to boost your ride. Two new packages, the Night Edition and the Black Edition provide the exterior of your Ram with a demure, sleek vibe.

If you have specific technology features in mind for your new pick-up, several packages are available on lower trims to open up your options without forcing you to upgrade to the next step. Here’s an overview of what you’ll find as you review the current line-up of Ram trims. From there, the sky's the limit.

Tradesman

The Tradesman is the Ram 1500’s base trim. With a focus on reliability, the Tradesman covers all the basics that you’d look for in a solid truck. It comes with trailer sway control, 18-inch steel wheels, and cruise control with steering wheel controls.

Just because the Tradesman is a base model, that doesn’t mean it’s devoid of creature comforts. Ram throws in some nice standard technology, including a 5-inch touchscreen, push-button start, six-speaker stereo with voice-activated audio control, and 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. There are two choices of the interior, black and diesel grey interior or solid black. The MSRP for the Tradesman 4x2 quad cab starts at just $32,145.

On the inside, you’ll find front bucket seats and a carpeted floor. If you’ve held off on buying a powerful truck for concerns about fuel costs, this is a great option to save on fuel costs.

Big Horn/Lone Star

The Big Horn is also referred to as the Lone Star in Texas. The grille and door handles, along with the front and rear bumper, are made of chrome, and a rear bumper step and fog lights are included. In-floor storage means you have enough space to carry a 4-inch drop hitch and any other gear that you may need.

The interior has several upgrades as well, such as a leather steering wheel, driver and passenger heated mirrors, and four interior color choices. Premium cloth upholstery (in black/diesel grey, black/light mountain brown, black/light frost beige, and black) is also included. There are two 12-volt DC power outlets, so you’ll never be stuck without a charge.

Several new options become available with this trim, including your preference for a larger U-Connect touchscreen that’s either 8.4 inches or 12 inches, both of which are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also add 20-inch chrome or painted wheels for a lasting impression. An available Sport Appearance Package turns the front and rear bumpers the same color as the body, as well as the grille. Finally, cloth and vinyl bucket seats bring a sportier feel to your drive. The Big Horn/Lone Star 4x2 quad cabs start at an MSRP of $36,790.

Rebel

A red 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel is parked on a trail edge with a view.

If you’re in the market for a Ram with excellent off-roading capability, the Rebel is a trim designed just for you. With four skid plates, tow hooks, LED headlamps, and an electronic locking rear axle, the Rebel is prepared to handle any conditions put in its path. Interior elements reflect the Rebel’s devilish side, with laser-engraved ruby red accents against premium vinyl or cloth seats.

The Rebel’s 18-inch polished aluminum or black painted wheels are surrounded by 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires. You’ll love the available key fob control for the fully dampened tailgate with an even assist open and close. A 60/40 split bench in the rear makes it easy to store your cargo. A couple of additional safety features include parking sensors in the rear and an immobilizer. A 4x4 Rebel quad cab starts at an MSRP of $44,740.

Laramie

To point your truck into a more luxurious direction, the Laramie trim does the job. Drivers can enjoy heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable leather-trimmed front seats. The 8.4-inch infotainment screen becomes standard, with the continued option to upgrade to a 12-inch screen if desired (with full-screen navigation). You’ll also get an additional 12-volt DC power outlet, for a total of three. The Laramie’s premium 7-inch driver information digital cluster stands out with full color, high-definition 3D graphics. The sound system is upgraded from six speakers to the Alpine nine-speaker audio system.

Optional safety packages bring new driver assistance technology, like lane keeping assist and forward collision warning. Enhancements to the driver’s side mirror include heating, auto-dimming, and turn signal indicators (also found on the passenger’s side mirror). The Laramie comes with standard 20-inch wheels, but you can upgrade to 22-inch wheels if preferred. The Laramie quad cab 4x2 starts with an MSRP of $40,890.

Laramie Longhorn

A silver 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn is parked on a city street at night.

The Laramie Longhorn is second from the highest Limited trim. It maintains the Southwestern vibe from the inside out, with a classic southern charm that’s hard to resist. On this model, you’ll see earth tones in the interior with your choice of mountain brown/light mountain brown or black/new saddle.

Adorn the exterior with bright chrome accents, or choose from handsome two-tone color combinations. Available power running boards and front tow hooks take style and capability to the next level.

A largest-in-class 12-inch touchscreen is available, and a leather-wrapped dashboard and steering wheel come standard. Full leather seating in the front and back, ventilated back seats, a rear seat fold-down center console, along with an available feature to recline the rear seats let the interior conform to meet your needs. The 4x2 crew cab has a starting MSRP of $51,640.

Limited

A top-of-the-line Limited Ram 1500 is fully loaded with luxury both inside and out. The exterior has fully automatic light control, striking chrome accents, Limited badging, and a corrugated mesh grille. Despite the Ram’s massive presence, you’ll have no trouble getting in and out thanks to its automatic power running boards that are ready for you as soon as you open the door. Active-level four-corner air suspension with automatic load leveling makes hauling and towing a breeze.

For safety, a blind spot sensor warning helps keep you protected from costly accidents. The Limited has everything to make your life easier and more fun, including rain-sensing wipers that turn on when you need them, a garage door transmitter, and a remote starter. The immersive 900-watt Harmon Kardon Premium Audio System is equipped with 19 speakers so you can jam out while you drive. A 4x2 Limited Ram has a starting MSRP of $53,915. The combination of refined luxury and high-powered capability has never been so affordable.

2500 and 3500

A black 2020 Ram 3500 is driving past a city.

The 2020 Ram 2500 changes the game from full-sized to heavy-duty for more towing power, greater payload capacity, and surprisingly enough, a more luxurious interior. The standard engine on this beastly model is a 6.4L HEMI V8 that offers 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, this engine can tow up to 17,580 pounds and handle a payload of up to 4,010 pounds. If diesel is more your style, opt for the 6.7L Cummins I6 Turbo-Diesel engine. While the payload max drops slightly to 3,160 pounds, the towing max soars to 19,780 pounds, due to this engine’s 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque.

If the 2020 Ram 2500 just doesn’t offer enough power, take a look at the 3500 HD model. The base engine is a hefty 6.4L HEMI V8 that provides towing power for up to 18,210 pounds with a payload capacity of 7,680 pounds with 410 horsepower. Drivers can also step up to a 6.7L Cummins I6 Turbo Diesel engine, which boasts 850 lb-ft of torque for its 370 horsepower. This engine is even more capable, with a towing max of 22,670 and a payload max of 6,840 pounds. But for those who are just shy of needing a super duty truck, there’s an even more powerful version of this engine: a 6.7L High Output Cummins I6 Turbo-Diesel, which touts not only an impressive 400 horsepower but a torque of 1,000 lb-ft, leading to a mind-blowing towing max of 35,100 pounds and payload max of 6,570 pounds.
