Jeep Renegade Trim Guide
Picture this: you’ve spent hours researching different small SUVs, narrowing down your choices, and now you’re at Orange Coast CJDRF, your Jeep Renegade dealership, and find yourself frozen in panic, wondering, “What trim do I get?” We’ll admit that “panic” is probably a stronger word than what you’ll actually feel, but even if you’ve put in a lot of work to look at various models and find that the Renegade is perfect for you, you still have more options to choose from. The trim level of a vehicle really makes a big difference and can have long-term repercussions on your enjoyment of your vehicle.
Just the other day, we were talking to a customer who loves his Jeep, but he still couldn’t help but lament that he didn’t go up a trim for a few options that he’s missed out on while enjoying his vehicle for the last four years. This sort of thing doesn’t ruin your life, but it’s a bit of sand in your shoe that always irks you and makes you wish you’d considered your options a bit more carefully. As your Jeep Renegade dealership, we want to ensure you avoid such regrets, so today, we’re going to take you through four of the 2021 Renegade trims to see what they offer. There are also a bunch of special edition trims out there, but these are the four main ones.
Jeep Renegade Sport
Let’s start from the beginning with the Renegade Sport, which is the starting trim for this model – the other trims all build on this or offer additional options. If you want the simplest, most affordable Jeep Renegade, then this is probably the one for you. The Renegade Sport features a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir2 I-4 engine that provides 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, which comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It has full-time 4×4 available with a Selec-Terrain traction management system that’s great for going off-road.
You get 16-inch wheels with the Renegade Sport, though 17-inch wheels are available, and it has a number of great standard features. These include cruise control, push-button start, air conditioning with dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a 3-inch monochrome driver information display. You also get a basic steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, a manual 6-way driver’s seat and 4-way front-passenger seat, and a 7-inch infotainment system with 6-speaker audio.
Even though this is the starting trim, it comes with some impressive safety features, including a Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection, a Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, and a LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist. A number of additional features are available for the Renegade Sport, but not standard, including keyless entry and remote start. Overall, this is a great standard trim, and you can see that it already has plenty of excellent features that the other trims build upon.

Jeep Renegade Latitude
Next up, we have the 2021 Jeep Renegade Latitude, which has a lot of similar features to the starting Sport, but with more options available. For example, the Latitude starts with the same engine, but it has an available 1.3L MultiAir2 Turbo I-4 engine that delivers 177 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque, which comes paired with the same 9-speed automatic. This is a significant boost to torque with this engine, making it a great choice for going off-road or if you find yourself on a lot of demanding roads and trails.
The Renegade Latitude comes with 17-inch wheels standard and has 19-inch wheels available, both of which are upgrades from the Sport trim. You also get automatic halogen headlamps and daytime running lamps with the Renegade Latitude, plus cornering fog lamps and power-adjusting, heated, manual-folding exterior mirrors. Inside, you’ll find a lot of similar features to the Sport, though it includes ambient LED lighting, a premium-wrapped steering wheel, and a 7-inch full-color driver information display.
What really helps set the Latitude apart is the impressive selection of additional features it has available. For example, you can get a power 8-way driver’s seat with a 4-way lumbar adjust, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and rain-sensitive windshield wipers, all as part of a single available package. Additional available features include an 8.4-inch infotainment display, plus more safety systems like ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
If your interest in the Jeep Renegade is based on a desire to go off-road, then the Trailhawk is the trim you should take a good look at. This model comes with the 1.3L Turbo I-4 engine standard, along with hill descent control and an off-road suspension. You also get Jeep Active Drive with a disconnecting rear axle on the Renegade Trailhawk, along with a full-time 4×4 system perfect for crawling, plus Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system including a Rock mode.
Standard features on the Trailhawk include an increased ride height due to the off-road suspension, skid plates, front and rear tow hooks, and unique Trailhawk and Trail Rated badging. The Trailhawk comes with 17-inch wheels and all-season on/off-road tires standard, plus fantastic interior features including a leather-wrapped shift knob and a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel. You get an 8-way power driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar and an 8.4-inch infotainment display standard on the Trailhawk.
Available features on the Trailhawk are more limited than the lower trims since it comes with so much already. You can choose a Trailer Tow Group package for improved towing performance, along with premium leather-trimmed seating. A dual-pane panoramic power sunroof is available, as is a Kenwood premium audio system with 9 speakers, including a subwoofer.

Jeep Renegade Limited
Finally, we come to the 2021 Jeep Renegade Limited, which really represents the pinnacle of what Jeep has to offer in a small SUV like this. While the Trailhawk is an attractive prospect if going off-road is your main concern, this is a fantastic choice if you’re more interested in luxury options and features. Much like the Trailhawk, the Limited comes with the 1.3L Turbo I-4 engine; although 17-inch wheels are standard, 19-inch wheels are available, and you get all-season touring tires for optimal performance.
You get a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel with audio controls in the Limited, along with a leather-wrapped shift knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated front seats. The Limited has an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar adjust, an integrated voice command system with Bluetooth, and an 8.4-inch infotainment display with Navigation and HD Radio, all standard. You get keyless Enter ‘n Go with a push-button start, along with advanced brake assist and remote start.
Looking at available options, you can get numerous additional safety features, including auto high-beam headlamps, Adaptive Cruise Control, and ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist, plus Parallel and Perpendicular Park with an Unpark Assist system. Leather-trimmed seating is standard, with additional luxury details and touches available. Much like the Trailhawk, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and Kenwood 9-speaker sound system are also available on the Limited.
