How Long Is the 2026 RAM Truck Powertrain Warranty?
Every 2026 RAM truck purchased new comes with a 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty for the original owner, whichever comes first. This applies to the RAM 1500 (including the RAM 1500 RHO), RAM 2500, RAM 3500, RAM Chassis Cab, and the RAM ProMaster van. Fully electric models and fleet purchases are excluded.
What Does the RAM Powertrain Warranty Cover?
The powertrain limited warranty covers the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, and axles. If a covered component fails due to a defect in factory materials or workmanship, RAM covers both parts and labor at any authorized RAM dealership.
What About the Basic Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty?
The basic limited warranty covers the rest of the vehicle for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes defects in materials and workmanship across non-powertrain components.
Is the 10-Year Warranty Transferable?
The 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty applies to the original owner only. If the truck is sold, coverage reverts to a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty for gas engines or 5-year/100,000-mile for diesel engines for the next owner.
What’s Required to Keep the Warranty in Force?
It’s important to follow the recommended scheduled maintenance in your owner’s manual to keep your warranty fully intact. Use genuine MOPAR® parts for any covered repairs, and keep service records, since RAM may request proof of maintenance if a warranty claim is made.
